A HUGE Thank You

We want to say a HUGE thank you to all of the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs around the state of California who have been welcoming us to share about our work and generously donating both as groups and individually. Also, Citizens for Better Community in Fremont selected New Day as a beneficiary of their organization, and presented Sharon and Phil with a generous check for $5,000 at their recent lovely spring banquet. Civic minded citizens are the backbone of this country, and these groups remind us all of the saying that was found on a handwritten note in Mr. Rogers’ wallet after he passed away: “Life is for service.”  As we are surrounded with so much doom and gloom in the news and online, let’s remember that each of us can choose to make a difference with our lives and actions and shine the light of hope, courage and compassion into even the darkest corners of our communities and world.
