When a child suffers the horrors of sex trafficking, the impact on their brain is profound.  The term “Survivor Brain” describes the state in which a person’s brain remains in constant survival mode long after the trauma has ended.

In New Day’s Partner programs, educators use trauma-informed techniques to help heal developing brains.

Reflecting on 2024, we were honored to place 40% more children in restorative care programs, expanding our reach and deepening our impact. This growth includes welcoming a new partner care homes. Our teachers, tutors, and students continue to make impressive strides in the classroom, building confidence and advancing their skills.
